This booklet is a learning resource designed specifically for neurodiverse learners who are developing early reading and sentence-building skills. The aim of the booklet is to help children practice sentence structure, word order and basic grammar through simple and structured activities.

In each activity, learners are given scrambled words. The child must rebuild the sentence correctly, write the improved sentence neatly, and color the picture that matches the sentence. This method supports children who learn best through visual support, repetition and hands-on interaction.

The activities encourage children to think about how sentences are formed while strengthening reading comprehension.

Sections / Themes included in the booklet

The booklet contains several sentence reconstruction activities where learners arrange words into the correct order.

1. Describing animals

Children rebuild sentences about animals.

Examples include:

• I see a red cat.

• Spot is my big dog.

• The pig is in mud.

• I see two small bees.

• The fox is not big.

These activities help children practice descriptive words and sentence structure.

2. People and everyday actions

Children build sentences about people and actions.

Examples include:

• The boy has a hat.

• Lea can run and hop.

• She has a pink gem.

• Kim has a new toy.

• Mia saw a big cow.

This helps learners practice subjects, verbs and sentence meaning.

3. Nature and environment

Some sentences describe nature and the environment.

Examples include:

• The sun is so hot.

• This pie is so hot.

• That web is big.

These sentences help learners understand basic sentence patterns and descriptions.

4. Objects and everyday items

Children also rebuild sentences about familiar objects.

Examples include:

• Ben has a blue toy.

• We see a big van.

• This is a big bird.

• This is my red hat.

5. Visual support with pictures

Each activity includes a picture that supports the sentence meaning. Learners can use the picture to help determine the correct word order before writing the final sentence neatly.
