This booklet is a learning resource designed specifically for neurodiverse learners who are developing early reading comprehension and vocabulary skills. The aim of the booklet is to help children practise reading short, simple stories and understanding what they read.
Each story uses short phonetic sentences and simple vocabulary that are easy for beginner readers to follow. After reading the story, learners answer questions by choosing the correct picture that matches the story. This approach supports children who benefit from visual learning and clear reading structure.

The booklet contains 10 simple short stories, each followed by picture-based comprehension questions.
1. Sam the Cat
Children read a short story about Sam the cat.
Example sentences include:
